3D printing and prototyping at Startup Weekend Providence!

by

We are very excited to announce that the Johnson & Wales School of Technology and AS220 Labs have both offered to give us access to their 3D rapid prototyping equipment. These is an incredible opportunity to bring your hardware or product idea to life over the weekend – you can design and prototype (with the help of some on-site JWU design students) in order to test and demonstrate your ideas.

The JWU School of Technology uses these tools as part of their Computerized Drafting / CAD programs. They have a a brand new 60W laser cutter / engraver as well as two different 3D printing systems (powder and plastic sheet lamination).

AS220 Labs is a community engineering and fabrication studio. They provide access to instruction and machinery for artists and makers of all ages.

Check out some quick photos below. Many thanks to both Johnson & Wales and AS220 Labs!
